Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Day
Doors Open London
Canada Life Place
10am - 5pm

Latin American Heritage Month in Canada is a vibrant, month-long celebration that honors the rich cultural contributions, history, and diverse traditions of Canadians of Latin American and Hispanic origin. Officially observed nationwide in October—with many community festivities kicking off mid-September to align with the Independence Days of several Latin American countries—the month highlights the community's significant impact on Canada's social, economic, and political fabric.

In London, the celebration will kick off  on September 15th with local landmarks being spot lit with the colours of Latin American countries.

On Sunday, September 20th, Londoners are invited to join Simple Reflections for Artists at Canada Life Place and celebrate Spanish-speaking and Latin-American cultures while marking the building’s 100th anniversary through Doors Open London. Explore the Dufferin Avenue lobby exhibit and Canadian art collection, enjoy music, dance, fashion, community booths and bilingual tours. Fun for all ages!

Doors Open London is a free, annual, city-wide community event that allows residents and visitors free, rare access to explore local buildings, museums, heritage sites, and cultural organizations that are typically closed to the public or charge an admission fee. Organized by the London Heritage Council, the event offers unique behind-the-scenes experiences, guided tours, live performances, and interactive activities across London, Ontario
